What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is an alternative treatment option to braces for patients who want straighter teeth without the look and feel of braces. It treats problems such as crowding, spacing, cross bites, excessive overbites or underbites and relapse from previous orthodontic treatment. It makes for easier cleaning of teeth during the course of treatment, as you can take the aligners out to eat and then clean your teeth and gums.

How does it work?

Invisalign ® makes use of clear plastic aligners which are custom fit and worn over the teeth for 22 hours a day and changed every two weeks. Each aligner moves the teeth slightly, the cumulative movements achieved by each aligner gradually move the teeth to the desired position.
